About the Series
The story behind Know the Rules β and why it matters
Our Mission
To give every newcomer the practical knowledge they need to navigate life in a new country β in plain, friendly English.
Why We Created Know the Rules
Moving to a new country is exciting β but also overwhelming. The rules are different, the systems are confusing, and the information you need is scattered across government websites written in complex legal language.
That’s exactly why the Know the Rules series was born. We wanted to create something that didn’t exist: a set of books that explain the practical, everyday rules of living in a new country β in language that’s clear, friendly, and jargon-free.
Each book in the series is written specifically for its country, covering everything from housing and healthcare to driving laws and employment rights. Whether you’re an immigrant, expat, student, or returning citizen β these books are your roadmap to settling in with confidence.
